As Olamide struggles to survive in this unfamiliar world, he becomes entangled in palace intrigues and age-old conflicts, all while being guided and tested by the enforcer of cosmic justice, Esu (Soibifaa Dokubo). The revered Yoruba deity, known as the divine messenger and the bridge between the spiritual and human realms, appears in different forms, ensuring that no action goes without consequence.
His influence shapes Olamide’s journey, forcing him to confront his past while navigating the treacherous politics of an ancient kingdom.
Meanwhile, in the present day, undercover detective Ifetomiwa (Taiwo Ola) finds herself drawn into a case that seems eerily connected to the mystical forces shaping Ilu Aarin. As past and present intertwine, the question remains: Can one ever truly escape fate?
